6 month checkup!

Well, we just got back from Noah's doctor appointment. Good News. He is perfect! (we already knew that though) He weighs 18 1/2 lbs. and is 26 inches long. There were some spots on him that the nurse questioned but when the doc came in, she said that it was fine and gave us some ointment.
We are suppose to put him on a breakfast, lunch, dinner type schedule so he will eat solids 3 times a day. (I am SO new at all this, I wish he would have come with a manual so I know how much he should be eating)

We are heading out early tomorrow morning to Greensboro, NC. 8 long hours of nothing but driving. Noah should be fine, I know he is going to get sick of his carseat but we'll make it. The day after Christmas we are going to Myrtle Beach to meet my parents and sister Caroline. We'll stay there til New Years Eve and probably make a stop in Charleston, SC before we head home. Busy busy and alot of driving..........what were we thinking???? Oh I forgot, the Campbells and Joneses will be at Myrtle Beach the same time we are....Yeah! It will be fun and excited to visit with everyone.

Josh is home and has a couple of interviews lined up after the first of the year. So we will keep ya'll updated on how that goes. Pray pray pray! Oh, and I did end up having to get a tetanus shot the other day........(not sure why I threw that in)

Okay, gotta run to a Christmas Dinner.

Merry Christmas Ya'll!!!!!!

Our Indiana Friends

This is a little video I made of some of our dear friends we left in Lafayette, Indiana. I forgot I had it so I thought I would post it.

Of course we miss them, but cannot wait to see them again. Hopefully, our new job will move us closer so we can see them often.

We love you guys!

Noah playing

This is Noah when he was about 2 months old. He was WAY too little for this thing but mommy thought it would be fun.

Click on the picture to see how he's "graduated".

As you can see, he also has found his voice.

I sure hope this works :-)

The Little Birdy Gone

For those of you who were concerned. I removed the "little birdy" from our photosite. I cannot believe I had not seen it before, but what can I say? Josh has impecable timing. For those of you who do not know what I am talking about, it seems that our little guy was sticking a particular finger in which a 5 month old child should not be using. Not to worry, the photo is gone and in the scrapbook for Noah to see when he is old enough..........

Oh boy, Pictures will be Fully Viewed BEFORE I post them so this will hopefully not happen again........ha ha ha ha

My Bad!

Video Blogging Kerput!

Well, I thought I had the whole video blogging thing down.....Maybe it will be up and running tomorrow. Stay Tuned for Videos! I promise they will be here!!!!

BAD DAY!

Yeah, it's only 10 and it has been an AWFUL day! Josh left early this morning to go to Orlando. He went with the coaches to a convention. Hopefully after this weekend we will know where we are going to be moving to. Anyway, back to me. We live in an apartment and at 7:00 this morning they started working on the roof. Imagine being in a dead sleep and being awaken to BANG BANG STOMP STOMP STOMP. I thought I was in the middle of the thunderstorm of my life. GEEZ! They were taking the old roof off and putting the new one back on. As you can imagine, Noah lasted maybe a minute longer than I did, and woke up screaming. He was scared. Usually he is so happy in the morning, but not today. So, we both got up and got ready and went for a drive. I had a few errands to run anyway and if that was going on there then I knew there would be no way Noah was going to sleep. So, we left and came home about 2 hours later. I was carrying Noah into the apartment when suddenly there was a sharp pain in my foot. I placed him down carefully, I might add, and kicked my shoe off, only to find a roofing nail had poked its way through. A RUSTY roofing nail. My foot was bleeding and Noah started to cry because he was hungry. So, I fed him and then attended to my foot. The picture isnt of the nail I stepped on, but it gives you an idea.....I cleaned it out really really good, put hydrogen peroxide on it, triple antibiotic ointment and then covered it up with bandaids. It still hurts but we are going to see what happens. If it gets really red, or swollen I will go to the hospital.....I really dont want to get a globin shot or a tetanus shot but will if I have too. We'll see what happens......

Stupid nail. Stupid roofers.......Stupid stupid stupid..........

SO Yummy!!!!

I dont know why, but I am OBSESSED with these cherry cordial Hershey kisses. They seriously are so good! I hardly eat chocolate but for some reason I had one of these at somebody's house and now I cant get enough.....Dont worry, I limit myself to 5 a day. But I do savor each morsel!! Go out and get your because they are only out for a limited time. Just for Christmas I suppose.

Season Well Played

Well, we got in from Nebraska Sunday afternoon. The whole weekend seems like a blur. I ended up getting there Friday at 3 after a stressful day of travel. We flew out of Jacksonville, made a stop in Chicago to change planes, and then cruised into Omaha. Well, sounds easier than done. My flight was delayed from JAX by an hour and a half and then when we landed in CHI, my plane I had to catch was taking off in 15 minutes....I RUN off the plane and through the HUGE airport only to find that the stewardess had told me the wrong gate!!!! I WAS SO MAD! So, I took off in a mad dash for Concourse C and come to find out the plane had been delayed a half hour. So, I MADE IT! I WAS A MESS. Sweat was running down my face and I was panting like crazy......I didnt realize how out of shape I was. Oh I forgot to tell you that on my flight from JAX to CHI, I sat by Kelly Curtis's Uncle. It was her mom's brother Stew. So, we talked and talked for a while....mainly about Titus and how weird he is (just kidding Titus). Small World. Anyway, after all that I made it to FREEZING Omaha Nebraska. Our game started at 6. We played Loiusville and killed them 3-0. There was a record breaking crowd of 14,000 people there to watch. Nebraska played after us and also won, so that meant that we had to play Nebraska (number 1 in the country) IN Nebraska. Our game was at 5:00 and that night they had broken another NCAA record. This time there were over 15,000 people there to watch a volleyball game!!! And let me tell you, only around 20 were routing for Florida. Nebraska played a great match and we lost 0-3. It was the regionals and we made it pretty far. I guess we have a lot to be thankful for and should focus on that... but it really stinks to lose.

Anyway, this post is to the girls I met this season. Rachel and Jane you are both phenomenal girls and players. We wish you luck in anything you do. As for the rest of you guys? Next Year Baby!!!!!! We love you all! Thank you for a great season and terrific memories!

Sweet Sixteen

This picture is so adorable, I thought ya'll might like it! Josh's parents came last week to watch us play in the NCAA tournament (listen to me, I sounds like we actually played!) Anyway, we won both of our games, Thursday against FAU, and Friday against Kansas ST. Friday night's game was very exciting! The 2nd game was extremely close but we pulled out of it with a 31-29 win..... There were over 2500 fans there and the place was hopping!! We play in Omaha this Friday against Loiusville (ranked 9) and WHEN we win that we will most likely play Nebraska (ranked 1). I just got off of Nebraska's website and they have sold over 13,000 tickets for this weekend! We thought that 2500 was good but 13,000!!!!!! OH MY!!!! Yes, I am going but I just decided that I wont be taking Noah. It is too cold and a very quick trip for us. I am leaving Friday and get back Sunday afternoon. He is going to be staying with some friends of ours...(Tanya and Cedric for those who keep up with the photo site) I know they will take extra special care of him so I am not worried. We shall see what happens.. If we win this weekend we are on our way to the Final Four back to San Antonio where we started out the season. Noah WILL be coming with us then!

I went through my closet last week and found a bunch of stuff to put on Ebay. I made 80 dollars! I guess somebody out there cares to have your junk! I had some free stuff that our bank gave us, so I thought I would put it on there to see what I got and sure enough somebody bought them! Wow!!! So all that to say, if you have junk, PUT IT ON EBAY!!!! You never know!

Noah update: He is still getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth. It's funny. He also does this thing where we lays on his side. It looks like he is posing for some photo shoot. It's funny to see him figure out how everything works.... He LOVES paper, so we really have to keep an eye on him. He is eating more regularly too. Yeah, his diapers are getting interesting!

That's all from us! Thanks for reading!

CANKLES!!!!!

I LOVE THESE LITTLE FEET AND ANKLES!!!!!! They really crack us up! Noah is starting to get ALL OVER THE PLACE! He isnt crawling or anything but he can rotate in a complete circle and roll wherever he needs to go. The other night I was working on the computer and he was playing in his crib, I heard some noise, so I thought I would check on him....Well, the little booger had taken his giraffe beanie baby and chewed off the tag. He had the WHOLE thing in his mouth and was eating it!!!! What a stinker! I seriously cant and wont take my eyes off of him for a second...I think we are in for some big surprises.... Oh, he is almost crawling. He gets up on his knees but then doesnt go anywhere. Pretty soon he will figure it out. He sure is growing up fast! He's 5 months old already.. Wow! time sure flies by!

It's been a while!

Sorry it has been so long since a post. We have been SO busy that I hardly have 2 minutes to sit down and type anything. Well, most of you know we went to Michigan 2 weeks ago for Thanksgiving. It was so much fun. We had a good time with family but my visit was too short. I need to come for more than 3 days just so I can see everybody. It was nice to see family and for them to meet Noah. They see pictures but it's not the same.
We just got back from Denver, CO on Sunday. The trip out there was a long ride with a couple late flights and layovers and we were exhausted! But the trip was well worth it! Noah and I went swimming one of the first days while Josh went to serve and pass. We also were able to go shopping the day after Thanksgiving....(listen to me, I sound like it was such a privelege to be among the chaos) It was a nice treat because usually we are tied to the hotel. Mary's husband, Mark, had rented a car and took all us girls to the mall. How nice! We won both games in the tournament and came home to find out that we will be hosting the first 2 rounds of the NCAA. We play Florida Atlantic on Thursday at 7:00....(if any of you care to listen you can go on www.gatorzone.com under volleyball...they will be broadcasting it live) and if we win, we play the winner of Kansas St. and Florida A&M.... If we win both of those, the team goes on the road to play in Omaha, Nebraska. I am not sure if I want to go to Nebraska or not......maybe I will call the Shelburnes and ask if I can hang out in Tampa with them.
Josh's parents are coming down tomorrow so that they can see the game......wait, what am I saying....they are coming to see the boy! I dont blame them though, he is pretty cute!
Better go......tired.....need sleep!

We are the Champions!

Can any of you guess who got this onsie for Noah???? If any of you know my family or have ever heard me talk about my family, it shouldnt be to hard of a guess! Today we won the SEC conference championship. Josh is pretty excited because he gets a ring....la dee da! Yeah, they have a tournament this weekend and then we go to Denver for another tournament. The next couple of weeks really dont matter all that much except where we will be playing the first couple of rounds of the NCAA. We really hope the first two will be in Gainesville so we dont have to travel anywhere. We already know where the final game will be. San Antonio. Havent bought tickets to go yet or anything but we are really hoping!
Do ya like the picture? I posted a bunch on our picture website but I am not really sure how many people go to that site. So I thought I would put my favorite so all could see.
Not too much going on this week. Noah and I are babysitting tomorrow and Tuesday, and then we leave for Michigan on Wednesday! YEAH! Should be fun! While Noah and I are gone, Josh will be in Alabama. Poor guy, we were JUST there last week.
Okay, more from Michigan when I get there.

My Favorite Picture!

I Just LOVE this Picture!

Well, it's Thursday and we got back late Sunday night so I guess it would be a lie to tell you we just got back.....oh well. This is the first time I have been at home all week! We have been dealing with our car. Short version: The car is fixed and we didnt have to pay a dime! Long version is really boring so I am not even going to go there but you know the outcome so I guess it really doesnt matter.
Well, we beat Alabama and Auburn this past weekend. Pretty good matches, the Auburn one went to 4 games which meant we had to be there an extra 25 minutes so that's not a big deal. Noah slept pretty much the whole time so that was nice. I hardly saw Noah on the bus because the girls had him. I think they are getting use to having a baby travel with them. What really cracks me up is their responses to the stuff that comes out of Noah.....you know, snot, spit up, and well, you get the idea. At first they were like, EWE that is gross, but now they dont really have a reaction, they just wipe it off and go on playing with him. It's cute. We had to drive the bus from Auburn to Gainesville on Sunday. That was a long ride but it wasnt too bad. You know, it's a real shame that you cant just hop on a bus whenever you need to go on a long trip. Seriously, you have movies, snacks, someone else driving, you dont have to put on you seatbelts.....you can even go to the back if you have to potty. ha ha....oh well, one can dream....
Noah is sleeping. He hasnt been sleeping too well lately so hopefully his naps during the day will help. He is rolling all over the place and is starting to whine......no really he does. Josh says he sounds like a little girl but it's this high pitched whimper, kind of like a puppy.
Well, we are headed back to Michigan next Wednesday to celebrate Thanksgiving with the fam. You know, I was thinking, it was a year from now that I told everybody I was pregnant. Well, a year from next Saturday, but still time sure flies. The next week, we are going to Denver for a Thanksgiving tournament. Should be fun. I hear Colorado is gorgeous! Never been there but you know me, I will be taking tons of pictures.
Okay, LOTS of LAUNDRY! Better get started so I can do the fun stuff. Lots of love!!

ALABAMA!

Yee Haw! I am posting this in a hotel in Auburn Alabama. We flew out Thursday to Tuscalousa, (no idea if I spelled that right) played University of Alabama, aka crimson tide, (okay can somebody explain to me their mascot, they are crimson tide but their mascot was an elephant!) and we beat them in 3! They were 3 really close games though. After the game we went to Outback for dinner and then got back to the hotel around 11:00. Noah, being the most wonderful baby that he is, went right to bed and did not wake up until 7:30 this morning. Josh went to get us something from the breakfast buffet and I watched Along Came Polly. I forgot what a cute movie that was.....Anyway, we left this AM around 11 and traveled (in a bus) here to Auburn. Josh and the girls are at practice right now and then when they come back we will go out to dinner. Have I said how much I love team travel. It's really fun and you really get to know the girls. I am really thankful for the opportunity to travel with the team. It is such an experience. I dont know how much traveling I will be able to do next year. Noah will be one and probably more of a handful...... oh well. Well, we better go. Noah is sitting on my lap being really good. I think I here the girls coming down the hall. We play Auburn tomorrow so hopefully we will win! Much love all around!

Bad Blogger!

I am so sorry it has been so long since I have posted. We were obviously gone to South Carolina and Tennesee last weekend and then when we got back, Noah and I were sick. So much to say about the first trip but that will have to be another time. This week has been pretty busy with babysitting and being sick..... All that mixed with the piles of laundry and house cleaning.....A girl's work is never done...
Oh, if ya'll think about it, pray for our car situation. We were doing some errands today and the car was registering hot. It started to overheat while we were in the drive thru at the bank so we had to shut the car off and wait until it cooled off a little. Not really sure what is going on. About a month ago we had the radiator replaced, so it cant be that. It's just hard ya know. We only have one car and if that breaks down we dont have anything. Just pray. THANKS!
Well, we are leaving for Alabama in a couple hours and probably should go and finish packing. I will write more when we get back!
Oh a quick Noah update before I go: He has been rolling across the bedroom and roaring like a lion. It's hilarious because after he roars his eyes get really big and it's almost as if he is thinking "What was that?". What a cutie! More when we return!

Coach or Old man?

Okay, will somebody help my husband and myself out? We are having a "discussion" on whether or not you tuck in a shirt with sweatpants on..... I sayABSOLUTELY NOT but he says that is how you are suppose to wear them... I say he looks like an old man but he says he looks like a coach. If you have a opinion or a comment feel free to leave them!

There's nothing wrong with a little survey is there? Ha ha. Not too much to report here. Just same old stuff. Getting ready to go to South Carolina tomorrow..so you who have babies know what that means.....yep, packing the house. That and lots of Laundry.....

More when we get back!

MMMM...Rice Cereal!

Yes, we did it! We wanted to see what Noah would do when we put that great mushy stinky cereal in his mouth. Well.......he LOVED it. Seriously, he scarfed down a whole bowl of Rice cereal, almost half a jar of carrots, and 4 oz. of formula. Kept it all down too!
Sorry, but this is pretty much the most exciting thing going on in our lives now....oh wait! He rolled over from his back to his belly! That was fun because I had the video camera ready and everything and the minute I turn it off he rolls....so I got the before and after shots so hopefully people will believe me.

We played LSU last night and beat them in 3. They werent that great of a team so it was a pretty quick match. We are flying out Thursday for our match in Columbia against USC and then drvie to Tennessee on Sat to get ready for our match on Sunday against the Volunteers... Can somebody explain that mascot to me? I just dont get it........ Our near perfect record is 20-1 with a loss to Notre Dame....the weird thing is that LSU beat them in 3 and we just killed LSU...Hmmmmm......

Noah's laundry is calling!

Future Plumber?

Ha ha.....well, do you think he will make a good plumber some day? I think this is a good indication that our little guy is ready for the next diaper size. Sorry, but you know, this was a Kodak moment!!!

FL stomps Razorbacks

Yeah, we won again tonight. We killed them the first game and then the second game they came back...we barely scraped by but pulled away with a win in the 2nd and 3rd game. I wasn't able to see much of the 3rd game due to a dirty diaper which I am thankful stayed put and didn't leak anywhere....Then I sort of got a little sick. Not sure what it was, but we went home immediately after the game and I laid down for a little bit, ate some soup, and I was fine. WEIRD....I guess I just needed to eat..

Josh has practice today but not anticipating a long one due to the game against LSU tomorrow. He is actually there now and hopefully will be home soon. Doing a run to Sams today. Getting low on formula and Josh wants to stock up on some things. Maybe I can talk him into going to MOES.......I think I am addicted to their chips and queso... We need to get some Halloween Candy for the
trick or treaters... we are taking Noah out with some friends and their kids. Should be fun!

Not too much to report here...oh, I went to go get Noah out of his crib from his nap and he had scratches on his face. 2 as a matter of fact. Doesn't he realize I have to take him to get his picture!!!!! Guess not...oh well. Oh and he has a new trick. He touches his toes. Almost immediately when he is laid on his back his legs go up and his hands grab them....its pretty cute! Didn't Einstein do that or something??? ha ha just kidding... Doesn't he look like a little bruiser! Poor baby!

INDIANA

Here is a picture of my brother Adam and Noah. It was cold in Michigan and the poor boy didn't have any warm clothes. He had a couple pair of pants...which he POOPED through..and a jacket but that's about it. We bundled him up and my mom bought him this hat. Cute huh!

The second picture is of Noah and his pumpkin. He is so good to let mommy take so many pictures of him....because believe me..I take ALOT of pictures! HA!
Anyway, we had an absolutely terrific time in Indiana. The only thing that didnt go as planned was Noah's sleeping schedule. For some odd reason he wouldnt sleep at night. Kept getting up every couple of hours or so. It probably didn't help that mommy was in the room to hear every move he made....so mommy didn't sleep well either.
While we were in Indiana, I celebrated my 25th birthday. I have concluded that birthdays are now just another day! When I was teaching birthdays were like a HUGE deal....I guess cause you wrote the date down everyday and it was sort of a count down....but now that I am at home it's like...what's the day let alone the date... Sheesh! Anyway, my birthday was terrific because I got to celebrate it with friends that I love dearly. AND I even got to blow out birthday candles...WOW, cant rememeber the last time I did that....
Well, gotta run...the little guy is watching baby einstein and it just got over..Somebody is hungry......

Noah's 4 month appointment

Well, we just got back from the Dr.'s. Noah is almost 4 months old and weighs 16lbs. and 4 oz.....Yeah, he's a porker! He had to get his shots...4 of them. He was a good boy though. He didn't even cry. Just was looking at his mommy with this look of horror...if he could talk it probably would have been something like "MOM!!! WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO ME!" What makes it worse is that you the parent have to hold down the child.. Man, talk about torture!!
After the appointment, mommy went to work out and Noah went to childcare. Josh got me a gym membership for my birthday and today was the first day I went to go and try it out. This place is really cool. They have hundreds of cross trainers and treadmills and all of them have there own private TV. It's really cool! I am going to check it out the rest of this week and then find out when some classes are....I am coming back baby! Ha ha no seriously, it is nice to exercise again!

Oh yeah, here is a picture of mommy's little porker......awe! Yes, our boy has clevage.....oh well...at least he is healthy lol

Florida VS. Tennesee

Okay, so we just got back from the game and the Gators (us) KILLED Tennessee... we beat them in 3 and sent them packing..

Today was pretty uneventful...I babysat the coachs little girl. Her name is Riley and she is soo cute!

Noah and her are playmates.....they love to talk to each other...it is SO cute!
Well, we leave for Michigan tomorrow and then come to Indiana on Wednesday! I am so excited! Can't wait to see everybody!

Well, we have to pack still and go to bed early since our flight leaves at 6:00 AM! Stupid me booked the ticket at an airport that is an hour away....so basically we have to leave here at 3:00... Oh well. Good thing I have a good baby. Hopefully he will sleep the whole way.....

Signing off!
