The Zoo!

On the way home.

One, two, three, WEEEEEEE!!!!

Josh randomly posing by a cactus

This past weekend, we enjoyed a day at the zoo with Josh's parents. It was beautiful outside!! The Asheboro zoo has over 5 miles of trails, so it was 5 full hours of walking. Noah enjoyed the Monkeys, and the fish. He enjoyed the playground even more, and when we would let him out of the stroller to walk. The elephant, rhino, and lion exhibit were closed, but we found ourselves entertained by the gorilla and the baboons. It was a day full of new sights for Noah. Needless to say, we were very tired when we were done, and everyone ended up with sunburned faces! Thanks Nana and Grandaddy for a fun outing!

Did you vote last night?

Well, last night was the first time to Vote. Those faithful AI watchers, you did vote for Chris right? He made Simon feel "uncomfortable" last night (which was hilarious!) so he needs all the help he can get. Tonight girls sing and we'll see if Chris makes it to the next round on Thursday's results show. Good luck Chris! I told him I am going to dress Noah up like him for Haloween. Wouldnt be too hard. Just a t-shirt, blazer, Afro, and dark glasses!

Grandma and Noah

Amazing what fun bathtubs are!

Riley loving on Noah!
Well, I finally have a minute to post on here. Last week, Noah and I hitched a ride with Josh's dad to Lafayette, IN. Since my parents just recently moved to the Chicago area, my dad was able to meet us at a gas station so Noah and I could come up and see their new house! It was FREEZING!!!! We got there Friday and on Saturday my cousin Melissa and her husband and son came over for lunch. Her boy Riley is 3, so Noah LOVED to have somebody to run around with. They got along so well. After a quick visit with my parents, we went back to Lafayette where we got DUMPED on with snow. Almost 20" of snow fell within 2 days. It was crazy! We visited with friends a little (after we were able to shovel ourselves out) and then headed home Friday morning. Pretty uneventful trip and we were even able to find a playplace where Noah could play while we ate lunch. He did such a good job riding in the car for 11 hours both up and down. We are going to visit my grandparents in Ft. Meyers next week. Hopefully he'll be as good on a plane as he was in the car. I am a little nervous, as my lap is disappearing and that is his seat for the the hour and a half flight.....eek. Oh well, it will be worth the visit...and tan!

Blues Clues

Noah Just LOVES Blues Clues! His favorite part is when he sees a clue! He yells "Clue Clue!" to try to let Steve know he sees it! It's amazing to me how much of a sponge his little mind is. We went to the doctor today and Noah weighs 26 lbs and is 33" long. That's 50 percentile for weight and 75% for height. He didn't gain any weight from his 15 month check up, but the doctor assured me it was because he's alot more active now then he was 4 months ago.

Enter Third Trimester!

Well, I have officially arrived at the third trimester! (That may be why I am blogging at 6:00 in the morning) Sleep is getting less and the level of being uncomfortable is rising. I am finding that daily everyday tasks are challenging. Things like laundry (picking up the basket, bending down to take clothes out of the dryer) and playing with Noah really wear me out! I was on all fours yesterday morning looking for my boot under the bed, and I had to take a breather in between because I felt so overextended. Love being pregnant and feeling the baby (who by the way LOVES to flip and flop right when I lay down). Noah was sitting on my lap last night and the baby kept kicking him in the back. He would sit up, look at my stomach, then look at me like "What in the world is that?" It happened several times and of course I thought it was hilarious!

Going out is more and more of a chore especially when you have a toddler with you. Noah and I went to Chickfila on Saturday and as soon as Noah saw the playland he became a wiggle worm. So I am trying to wrestle him, while I order our food. He never eats there, he's way too excited! He LOVES to play with all the big kids and climb all the way to the top and come down the slide! It's so fun to see him interact and play with the kids.

That's all for the update! Oh, almost forgot. GO COLTS!!! Congrats to all our Indiana friends! We'll be there to celebrate with you on Friday! Can't wait!

Go Diego Go!

This is Diego. Yes, it is a doll, BUT it is a BOY doll and VERY masculine! Ha! Had to throw that in for daddy! When Noah was sick, he loved to be wrapped up in his Diego blanket and watch Toy Story while holding Diego. It was super cute! No, our son doesnt play with dolls, Diego is just his little buddy! :-)

Yeah, it snowed here. We got maybe half of an inch. You would have thought it was a BLIZZARD the way people were acting. They closed school a whole day in advance and had a 2 hour delay this morning. Everybody was at the store getting milk and bread.....it was quite amusing!

Such a big help!!

Noah loves to help us out with the daily tasks. His favorites is "helping" with the dishes and the laundry. Hopefully he'll still be this eager to help in the upcoming years!
