The taste test

Hmmmm....

Success!

Jacob LOVED his biter biscuit. Why are they SOOOOOOO messy? He needed quite the scrub down when he was finished!

What's Up?

This picture makes me laugh. I love the fact that Jacob is looking at the camera with that little smile on his face. Although this picture looks like it's all fun and games here, lately it has been a house full of cranky, crabby, stuffy noses, sore throats, hurt bellies, and a washing machine going non stop. Last week we took Jacob to the doctor. He wasn't eating and had pretty bad cough. Well, the doc swapped his nose (quite viciously I might add) and discovered that he was positive for RSV. Now, breathe out.... Although this is a very scary virus for premature and newborns, 7 month olds can get over it pretty quick. Doctor said to keep him in for 5-7 days. Only problem with that is that Josh and I were Joseph and Mary in our church cantata Sat. and Sunday night, and we had practices Tuesday and Thursday nights. Thankfully, some volleyball girls came over Tuesday and David and Tana watched Noah for us on Thursday while we kept Jacob with us. The cantata went well. We remembered our lines. I had a real hard part, I just had to hold and love on a baby. The baby that played baby Jesus (no, it wasn't Jacob) was so good. When it came time for his part he just looked up at Josh and I and smiled. It's like he knew exactly what he was suppose to do!

My photo business is doing well. I have had 3-4 shoots a week. Next Monday is my final shoot for the year and I am looking forward to it. It's a pregnancy session.

Monday and Tuesday of this week really is a blur. Last night I was up working on pictures and Noah came out of his room. He climbed up into my lap laid his head on my shoulder and then.......threw up. Yeah, all over me. It was all in my hair, all over him. The poor baby, he kept going and going. Finally it subsided, so we both got in the tub. After we got out, daddy started feeling really bad, so we let him have the bed and Noah and I stayed out on the couch. Well, I slept on the couch, Noah was content to sleep on the floor. Poor baby. Thankfully he didn't get sick anymore last night and has kept everything down. Josh is starting to feel better.

We are leaving for Gainesville late tonight. The Lady Gators play tomorrow night in the 2nd round of the NCAA tourney, so we wanted to go and see them!

That's about it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, we left last Tuesday for Josh's brother Caleb's house where we would stay for the next 4 nights and 5 days! We got in late Tuesday night and woke up on Wednesday and went to Greenville. We hung out with Riley (baby girl pictured above) and her mommy Aron! Then we took the boys around Greenville and visited the Bob. We drove back to Asheville that afternoon and played Wii all night. Thursday we woke up, got everybody ready and loaded up and drove down to Easley, SC to have Thanksgiving dinner at Josh's Grammy's house. It was great! Food was wonderful and Noah even had his 2nd cousin Griffin to play with! On the way back to Asheville from Grammy's we stopped at Bald rock and thought it would be fun to take some pictures. Well the thought was good, we didn't really get any good shots. It was freezing and neither boys had a nap. We'll keep trying. We got home that night and I woke up about 4 am and headed out to do my shopping (oh, did I mention I took Jacob with me). It was great fun! Ran to the stores I wanted to and got home about 7am. Josh and Noah went with Uncle C and Grandaddy to Dick's while Jacob went with me and the girls out to do some more shopping. We finally got home about 5 and then all went out to dinner. We left about noon on Saturday. Thanks to Caleb and Heather for being wonderful hosts!

On another note. Jacob is sick. The poor little guy has a yucky nose and has a raspy little voice. He hardly eats anything and I think it is because his throat is sore. Poor baby! He hasn't been sleeping well at all and I know it's because he can't breathe through his nose. He's a trooper though. He still has his usual big grin on his face while he is playing. If it doesnt clear up in the next few days I think I am going to call the doc.

Noah has been going through the "naked" stage lately. He is constantly hiding in a room and taking off his clothes. Then he runs out and around naked! He has been taking EVERYTHING off, even his diaper! Tonight we had rehearsal for our canata (Josh and I are Joseph and Mary) and the girls (volleyball players) said that he kept taking his diaper off and threw a fit when they tried to put his pants on him..... What an odd thing to do! So, between making sure Noah is clothed, and Jacob's nose is wiped, I have been trying to sort clothes, decorate for Christmas, and schedule photo shoots! Never a dull moment around this house! I love it!

Jacob Update!

Well, Jacob started crawling about 2 weeks ago and since then he hasn't stopped! He now lifts his belly to crawl and boy can he move! He also sits up by himself and when he's tired of crawling, he will put himself in a sit up position and play. He's been eating alot lately! I just started making my own baby food. I am totally in love with the concept and so is he! It saves us lots of money and tastes better! Can't go wrong!!

Grandma was here!

So, about a week ago (I can't believe I haven't updated since then) my mom came down for a visit. It was an extremely short trip, but at least we got to see her. Noah loved the fact that she would read every single book he gave her. Jacob thought she was silly, because she kept kissing him. She even went to Jacob's doctor appoitment with us. Jacob is 18.4 lbs and 27 inches long. They say he is 50% in weight, and 90% in height. He is crawling all over the place! He started almost a week ago, and has been getting quicker and quicker each day. He uses his kness alot more now. He is also sitting up pretty well by himself. He definately knows who his mommy and daddy are. Whenever he is nursing and Josh is in the room talking to me, or on the phone, Jacob will stop eating and turn his head to wherever his daddy is, then give him a big ole grin. It's cute, but annoying because he needs to eat. Speaking of eating, he is doing 3 meals a day and nurses 4 times a day. He's getting to be so big!

Harvest Party!

Elizabeth Wickert and Jacob.

Our little lion and his daddy!

Noah wanted to pose by this dog at our church Harvest Party.

The LOOT!

Whew! Well, it's 10:19 and I am EXHAUSTED! We had a very very nice Halloween! The weather here was PERFECT for trick or treating and being outside. Not once did I worry about whether Noah or Jacob were too cold. I took the boys up town for trick or treating from about 3:30-4:30. It was nice because we could just walk around downtown in the stores and get our candy. I wanted Noah to get the "feel" of what was going on before we hit any subdivisions. He did great. He would say "Treat" then leave with a "Ank Ewe" and on to the next store. We left downtown and headed over to Noah's friend Dylan's house. We had dinner and then went around her neighborhood to trick or treat. Noah loved running around the street with the older kids. He was having the best time! We left trick or treating and headed to church where they were having their annual Harvest Party. There was a hay ride, blow up toys, games, food, and lots of candy! By 8:30 both our boys had had it and were ready to go home. They were in the car for about 5 minutes and both of them were OUT! It was a good day!

Super Halloween!

He did NOT want his black boots on....

Getting ready to go!

Trick or treating with his best friend, Dylan!

Noah would run up to the door, ring the door bell 5 times and then when the door would open, he would run inside. Seriously, he did this at almost every house we went to!

Super Pumpkin Carving!

We were able to carve the boy's pumpkins last night. Jacob's is a J and Noah's is a N. Noah is going to be superman for Halloween, so the super N definately goes with his costume. Noah really seemed to like the carving part, but did NOT want to touch all that nasty goo inside of his pumpkin. He doesn't like to get dirt or anything for that matter on his hands. It's nice and weird all at the same time. Come on Noah, you are a boy! Oh well, less mess for me. We are going trick or treating tonight with some friends and then headed over to church for the Harvest Party! Can't wait to see all the little kids in their costumes! Hope your Halloween is Happy!

We've Been Busy!

Can you see my teeth?

Chubby Cheeks!

Family Shot!

We've been pretty busy the past week. On Friday night we had the team over for a spaghetti dinner. We ate, played the Wii and Cranium. It was so much fun! Then the girls had a game on Saturday afternoon, which they WON in 5. Yeah, it was a nail biter! On Sunday night after church, we went over to the Lassider's farm with the teens for hotdogs, smores, a hayride, and played some cornhole. It was a little chilly, but we all had a great time! This week is busy with trick or treating, Harvest party at church, and then my mother is coming to visit on Saturday. Yeah!

Roar?

Well, I put Jacob in his costume tonight and it's a good thing I did. His costume is sized 3-6 months from Children's Place so I thought it might be a little big, but thankfully it just fits! Thought you would enjoy the pictures!
