6 month checkup!

Well, we just got back from Noah's doctor appointment. Good News. He is perfect! (we already knew that though) He weighs 18 1/2 lbs. and is 26 inches long. There were some spots on him that the nurse questioned but when the doc came in, she said that it was fine and gave us some ointment.
We are suppose to put him on a breakfast, lunch, dinner type schedule so he will eat solids 3 times a day. (I am SO new at all this, I wish he would have come with a manual so I know how much he should be eating)

We are heading out early tomorrow morning to Greensboro, NC. 8 long hours of nothing but driving. Noah should be fine, I know he is going to get sick of his carseat but we'll make it. The day after Christmas we are going to Myrtle Beach to meet my parents and sister Caroline. We'll stay there til New Years Eve and probably make a stop in Charleston, SC before we head home. Busy busy and alot of driving..........what were we thinking???? Oh I forgot, the Campbells and Joneses will be at Myrtle Beach the same time we are....Yeah! It will be fun and excited to visit with everyone.

Josh is home and has a couple of interviews lined up after the first of the year. So we will keep ya'll updated on how that goes. Pray pray pray! Oh, and I did end up having to get a tetanus shot the other day........(not sure why I threw that in)

Okay, gotta run to a Christmas Dinner.

Merry Christmas Ya'll!!!!!!

Our Indiana Friends

This is a little video I made of some of our dear friends we left in Lafayette, Indiana. I forgot I had it so I thought I would post it.

Of course we miss them, but cannot wait to see them again. Hopefully, our new job will move us closer so we can see them often.

We love you guys!

Noah playing

This is Noah when he was about 2 months old. He was WAY too little for this thing but mommy thought it would be fun.

Click on the picture to see how he's "graduated".

As you can see, he also has found his voice.

First Video

I sure hope this works :-)

The Little Birdy Gone

For those of you who were concerned. I removed the "little birdy" from our photosite. I cannot believe I had not seen it before, but what can I say? Josh has impecable timing. For those of you who do not know what I am talking about, it seems that our little guy was sticking a particular finger in which a 5 month old child should not be using. Not to worry, the photo is gone and in the scrapbook for Noah to see when he is old enough..........

Oh boy, Pictures will be Fully Viewed BEFORE I post them so this will hopefully not happen again........ha ha ha ha

My Bad!

Video Blogging Kerput!

Well, I thought I had the whole video blogging thing down.....Maybe it will be up and running tomorrow. Stay Tuned for Videos! I promise they will be here!!!!

BAD DAY!

Yeah, it's only 10 and it has been an AWFUL day! Josh left early this morning to go to Orlando. He went with the coaches to a convention. Hopefully after this weekend we will know where we are going to be moving to. Anyway, back to me. We live in an apartment and at 7:00 this morning they started working on the roof. Imagine being in a dead sleep and being awaken to BANG BANG STOMP STOMP STOMP. I thought I was in the middle of the thunderstorm of my life. GEEZ! They were taking the old roof off and putting the new one back on. As you can imagine, Noah lasted maybe a minute longer than I did, and woke up screaming. He was scared. Usually he is so happy in the morning, but not today. So, we both got up and got ready and went for a drive. I had a few errands to run anyway and if that was going on there then I knew there would be no way Noah was going to sleep. So, we left and came home about 2 hours later. I was carrying Noah into the apartment when suddenly there was a sharp pain in my foot. I placed him down carefully, I might add, and kicked my shoe off, only to find a roofing nail had poked its way through. A RUSTY roofing nail. My foot was bleeding and Noah started to cry because he was hungry. So, I fed him and then attended to my foot. The picture isnt of the nail I stepped on, but it gives you an idea.....I cleaned it out really really good, put hydrogen peroxide on it, triple antibiotic ointment and then covered it up with bandaids. It still hurts but we are going to see what happens. If it gets really red, or swollen I will go to the hospital.....I really dont want to get a globin shot or a tetanus shot but will if I have too. We'll see what happens......

Stupid nail. Stupid roofers.......Stupid stupid stupid..........

SO Yummy!!!!

I dont know why, but I am OBSESSED with these cherry cordial Hershey kisses. They seriously are so good! I hardly eat chocolate but for some reason I had one of these at somebody's house and now I cant get enough.....Dont worry, I limit myself to 5 a day. But I do savor each morsel!! Go out and get your because they are only out for a limited time. Just for Christmas I suppose.

Season Well Played

Well, we got in from Nebraska Sunday afternoon. The whole weekend seems like a blur. I ended up getting there Friday at 3 after a stressful day of travel. We flew out of Jacksonville, made a stop in Chicago to change planes, and then cruised into Omaha. Well, sounds easier than done. My flight was delayed from JAX by an hour and a half and then when we landed in CHI, my plane I had to catch was taking off in 15 minutes....I RUN off the plane and through the HUGE airport only to find that the stewardess had told me the wrong gate!!!! I WAS SO MAD! So, I took off in a mad dash for Concourse C and come to find out the plane had been delayed a half hour. So, I MADE IT! I WAS A MESS. Sweat was running down my face and I was panting like crazy......I didnt realize how out of shape I was. Oh I forgot to tell you that on my flight from JAX to CHI, I sat by Kelly Curtis's Uncle. It was her mom's brother Stew. So, we talked and talked for a while....mainly about Titus and how weird he is (just kidding Titus). Small World. Anyway, after all that I made it to FREEZING Omaha Nebraska. Our game started at 6. We played Loiusville and killed them 3-0. There was a record breaking crowd of 14,000 people there to watch. Nebraska played after us and also won, so that meant that we had to play Nebraska (number 1 in the country) IN Nebraska. Our game was at 5:00 and that night they had broken another NCAA record. This time there were over 15,000 people there to watch a volleyball game!!! And let me tell you, only around 20 were routing for Florida. Nebraska played a great match and we lost 0-3. It was the regionals and we made it pretty far. I guess we have a lot to be thankful for and should focus on that... but it really stinks to lose.

Anyway, this post is to the girls I met this season. Rachel and Jane you are both phenomenal girls and players. We wish you luck in anything you do. As for the rest of you guys? Next Year Baby!!!!!! We love you all! Thank you for a great season and terrific memories!

Sweet Sixteen

This picture is so adorable, I thought ya'll might like it! Josh's parents came last week to watch us play in the NCAA tournament (listen to me, I sounds like we actually played!) Anyway, we won both of our games, Thursday against FAU, and Friday against Kansas ST. Friday night's game was very exciting! The 2nd game was extremely close but we pulled out of it with a 31-29 win..... There were over 2500 fans there and the place was hopping!! We play in Omaha this Friday against Loiusville (ranked 9) and WHEN we win that we will most likely play Nebraska (ranked 1). I just got off of Nebraska's website and they have sold over 13,000 tickets for this weekend! We thought that 2500 was good but 13,000!!!!!! OH MY!!!! Yes, I am going but I just decided that I wont be taking Noah. It is too cold and a very quick trip for us. I am leaving Friday and get back Sunday afternoon. He is going to be staying with some friends of ours...(Tanya and Cedric for those who keep up with the photo site) I know they will take extra special care of him so I am not worried. We shall see what happens.. If we win this weekend we are on our way to the Final Four back to San Antonio where we started out the season. Noah WILL be coming with us then!

I went through my closet last week and found a bunch of stuff to put on Ebay. I made 80 dollars! I guess somebody out there cares to have your junk! I had some free stuff that our bank gave us, so I thought I would put it on there to see what I got and sure enough somebody bought them! Wow!!! So all that to say, if you have junk, PUT IT ON EBAY!!!! You never know!

Noah update: He is still getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth. It's funny. He also does this thing where we lays on his side. It looks like he is posing for some photo shoot. It's funny to see him figure out how everything works.... He LOVES paper, so we really have to keep an eye on him. He is eating more regularly too. Yeah, his diapers are getting interesting!

That's all from us! Thanks for reading!
