Whew! Well, Noah and I went to our level 2 ultrasound yesterday. I set up the Portable DVD player in the room and he watched CARS. He hadn't seen it in a week or so, so he was pretty excited about it. The ultrasound lasted about a half hour and he didn't make a peep! Good news is we have a healthy, perfect, baby boy! The doctor couldn't find the cyst anywhere. There was no indication of further ultrasounds and he said everything looks great! I was able to get a DVD of the ultrasound and have been trying to figure out how to put it on here, but it may have to wait til after the holidays. He showed me EVERYTHING! The fingers, toes, legs, arms, neck, and tummy. It was funny because in one point of the ultrasound, the baby's arm was in the way of the heart, so he had to jiggle my stomach alot in order for him to move. So if you see the ultrasound, there is a constant moving for about 10 seconds. Next appointment is Jan 2 and I'll be almost 24 weeks along, so maybe we'll pick a day for the C-section. We'll see.....

Christmas Pics
I didnt realize how hard it would be to take a family photo with a 17 month old. Josh and I hung a sheet up and set up the tripod and got some good shots. I sort of decided last minute to send a Christmas card, so that is what triggered these. Who knows maybe some of them will make it into the portfolio :-) The last picture cracks me up, it's almost as if Noah is faking his smile, what you don't see if Josh and I squeezing his legs so he will giggle. Hey, at least he is looking at the camera...... Just FYI, the top picture made the Christmas card, it was the best one of Noah. (who we all know, will be the only one people see :-))
20 Week Bellies
Whales...
This is how I caught Noah today eating his whales. Yes, I said Whales. That's the walmart brand!!!

Friends, and a Quick Update....
We just got back from Gainesville, Fl where we went to visit our friends Tonya and Cedric, and to see the Gator Volleyball team play in the regionals. Sad news is, the Gators lost to Minnesota Friday night. It wouldn't have been so bad, if it weren't at home. They hadn't lost a game at home all season. We still love you Gators! Thanks to Tonya and Cedric for thier "Southern" Hospitality! Yes, Cedric made grits, but NO he didnt make us eat them :-) Ya'll are great!
Update on the baby: He (or she, I haven't ruled out the chances of a girl yet) is kicking like crazy! Especially at night and after I eat Oreos. I still havent heard when the ultrasound is, but I did find out that my AFP test came back normal. I was skeptical whether to get it or not because of the chances of False Positives are very high. Basically, it ruled out Downs, SpinaBifida, Low Birth weight, and things like that. Which is definately a good thing.
Josh is getting ready for Omaha. He leaves Wednesday returns Friday and then we leave for the LONG drive on Sunday. Noah did well on the 9 hour trip to and from Florida. His new favorite movies are CARS and Nemo. Baby Einstein is up there too, but Cars still takes number one!

Christmas Decor.....Finally!
Okay, I know the tree looks a little pathetic, but I dont care. I am proud of it just as it is. I have never really been a big Christmas Decorations person, therefore I have never really bought any. We have never been home for Christmas, so why put anything up?! What I have has been given to us. However, I think I am going to hit the after Christmas sales this year for more ornaments and other decor. My village is small but that's okay. If it were any bigger it wouldnt fit on my piano, so it is perfect in my eyes! The stockings and holders are new this year, I picked these up at Pottery Barn Outlet the day after Thanksgiving. Actually I practically stole them. They were such a good deal, even I couldnt pass them up!! Wish we had a fireplace, but the bookshelf works nicely. I am glad we got everything up. Even though we wont have any company over to see it, and we are going out of town for like the whole month of December, Noah loves it all! His favorite is the tree and the santa ornament. He points to it and says "ho ho ho".
A Quick Noah Update
Well, Noah has hit the 17 month mark recently so I thought I would just update you all on his upcomings... He is a MESS! Typical boy. Loves to climb and figure things out. If there is a door anywhere in the house, it HAS to be shut. If I have to get something out of the refrigerator, dryer or pantry, I find myself hurrying to get it out. Otherwise, I will get my head, hand, or any other body part crushed from the door being slammed. It's nuts. He knows how to dump his toys all over the floor and believe it or not, he knows how to put them away. Whenever he puts something away, he has to yell "DAAA" as it falls to the bottom. It's some sort of accomplishment for him I think. It's really funny. His 2 favorite shows are Little Einsteins and Go Diego Go! With Einsteins, he pats and pats when they do and then puts his arms up in the air as they yell, BLAST OFF! If he sees that Diego is on he yells, "Go Go Go!" and then gets my attention and repeats Go Go Go 5 more times just to make sure I know it's on. Whenever Diego asks a question, Noah always shakes his head no. Diego: "Is this a spectacle Bear?" Noah: SHAKES HEAD VIGOROUSLY... Every time! His favorite movie is Toy Story. Not really sure why, but he has learned how to put the tape in, turn the TV on, and start the movie. Sometimes really early we hear "You've got a friend in me"....and Noah giggling in anticipation. He will sit and watch the ENTIRE movie. I tried to get him to watch Ice Age MeltDown. But everytime the squirrel with the acorn came on, he would cry and run to my lap. Yeah, didnt like it so much. He is doing SO well in his big boy bed. We just say, Noah time for night night. He walks into his room and climbs into bed. I love it! He stays there most of the time, sometimes he will sneak out and start pulling all the books off the shelf! My favorite part is when he comes running in our room in the morning. About 7:30 I wake up to the crinkle of a diaper and little feet running. Then he gets in a lays with us for a while......I love that time!!!
Okay, sorry to ramble. They havent called to schedule the 2nd ultrasound yet, so there is really no news on that end. We are going to Gainesville tomorrow to watch the gators play in the regionals. YEAH! We will be back Sunday, then Josh leaves for Omaha on Wednesday, gets back Sat. and then we leave for Indiana on Sunday!!! Yeah! We are stopping in IN on our way up to MI. Can't wait!

Well, we had the ultrasound yesterday....
Now, about that first picture. They aren't 100% sure it is a boy. She couldnt' get a good shot because the baby was upside down. I was hoping to post a video of the UltraSound but apparently it is against the law to video tape....hmmm that's funny we have one of Noah's. Oh well. The nurse practitioner found something in the baby's brain and wants us to go in to Duke for a level II ultrasound. She said it was a Choroid Plexus Cyst which was very small and to not worry about it. If they find anything in the ultrasound, they are to send us to a specialist. She also told me not to go home and get on the internet about it. Which is exactly what I did! Anyway, I have researched about it, found alot of info, and she was exactly right, there is no cause for alarm and these things usually take care of themselves. We havent scheduled the 2nd ultrasound yet but will let all of you know when we do and make sure to let you know what happens! Thanks for your prayers!
Everything else was great. The baby's heartbeat was about 150's and is measuring 9 oz. I've gained 3 pounds, and my iron and other levels are perfect. Next appointment is Jan 2. So stay tuned!

Thanksgiving! Whew!!!
Well, we had a wonderful time for Thanksgiving this year. We took off Tuesday to Josh's brother Caleb's house. He and his wife Heather live in Hendersonville, NC. Took us about 6 hours to get there due to horrible weather and rush hour traffic. Oh well, now we know the way NOT to go :-)
Woke up Wednesday and hung out alot. Kara came up from Charleston on Tues. night as well, so it was nice to spend some time with her. Josh's mom and dad came that night and we stayed up playing games. Girls won, by the way! Thursday we all headed out to Grammy's house where we enjoyed our feast! Noah only ate the jello and cool whip.....but oh well. Visited with family for a while and then drove home. Heather and I were determined to get up early the next day so we could get the deals. Well, we found out that the outlet mall in Gafney (about an hour away) opened at midnight that night. Yeah, we TOTALLY went! We didnt think anybody would be there, but traffic was backed up about 2-3 miles before the exit! Friday was also a "no tax" day in South Carolina, so that helped the masses as well! Well, we shopped and got GREAT deals, for about 5 hours and then headed home. Got home about 7 and slept til about noon. Whew! We were tired, but TOTALY worth it!!!! We came home on Sunday, along with everybody else in NC, and enjoyed our evening of laundry. Noah was happy to be at home too, he missed all his toys!
I just updated our photosite (link on the righthand side) where I posted pictures from this past weekend. So enjoy!

Videos!
Sorry about the video overload. I have been wanting to put these on here for a while, but just couldn't find the time. So, I did it all at once! Enjoy!
Noah The Menace!
Move over Dennis Mitchel (aka Dennis the Menace) there is a new kid in town and his name is Noah! The past wekk, Noah has tried to burnt he house down, climbed out of his crib, climbed out of his pack n play, got his first black eye, and there is probably more, but I can't remember all right now. We'll start with the fire story. Noah knows he is not allowed to touch the oven. Before he was "strictly" corrected, he used to pull the door down, climb on the opened door, stand on the door and play with the cool looking knobs! Like I said, he was strictly corrected for this, and we thought it was over. Well, one night while a lasagna was cooking, Noah decided to do some cleaning up. He just opens doors and puts stuff in them, you know, out of sight, out of mind. Well, he came across some junk mail and decided that the place for that mail was in the oven. Josh was in the kitchen doing the dishes and I was right around the corner straightening up, when we both heard the oven door close. Noah came running around the corner with both hands up in the air, in a "I didn't do it" pose, and eyes about the size of quarters. He was "strictly" corrected again not to touch the oven, and that was the end of it. Until Josh smelled something burning. We opened to oven and found the piece of junk mail, now on fire. Hopefully Noah learned his lesson not to touch the oven! He's all boy, but is learning how to obey. It's neat to see when it finally "clicks" with kids. There is nothing better than the odedience of your own child! We're having a blast with the little guy but aren't taking our eyes off of him for a second!

The Cream Cheese Factor
Okay, usually I dont like to "vent" on my blog. Afterall, it is called adorablenoah, so I like to make it of him, BUT (you knew it was coming) I just wanted to write about "the cream cheese" factor. Have you ever been to a Panera, a bakery, Dunkin Donuts.....(you get the idea), and ordered a Bagel with Cream Cheese? I have always LOVED bagels especially everything bagels (thank you Megan Clark from Bob Jones!). Not a ton of cream cheese, just a thin layer over the entire half bagel. Anyway, did you know that if you were to buy JUST a bagel at Panera, it would cost you .89? But if you bought a bagel with cream cheese, it woud cost you $2.34? Does this make sense? Dunkin Donuts is the same way. They will charge you .79 for a bagel and if it's with cream cheese, the total is $1.99! Maybe it's the pregnancy, but I get the urge for one of those everything bagels every once in a while and the best are from these places, yet me being my cheap self cannot get over the fact that the cream cheese is more than the bagel! I have tried the whole, I will just pick up half a dozen and eat them at home, but they dont last that long. By the time I get to the 4th one, it's all hard and stale.....Maybe I just need a little fridge for my car that I keep cream cheese and ranch in. Oh I won't even get started on the whole ranch thing, you know when you go to Burger King or McDonalds (for your salads...okay okay, your french fries) and they charge you for an extra Ranch or a ranch at all.....They are condiments people! Next thing you know, they will be charging for Ketchup on your burger!! Anybody know what I am talking about?

Sorry, No Blogging!
Sorry we havent been on for a while. We've had our friend Margaret visiting from Indiana and have been busy running around. While Margaret was here she brought her scrapbooking. Noah wanted to help so bad! It was cute, yet annoying at the same time. So, mommy got out the crayons and paper and he went to town. He loved "helping" and sitting at the "big" table! Just have to remember to keep the coloring ON the paper! Thanks for the visit Margaret! We had a great time!
Brothers don't shake hands, Brothers gotta hug!
This is Jackson and Noah one day while playing. All of a sudden Noah runs up to Jackson and gives him a big ole bear hug! Luckily I had the camera. Jackson is 2 1/2 and is like a big brother to Noah. Noah LOVES to follow him around and laugh at everything Jackson does. Jackson loves all the extra attention of course! It's hilarious to watch them together!
Josh's Old New Truck
BEFORE
AFTER
Well, here it is. I have ben meaning to blog about it, but just havent had the time. This is Josh's new old truck. We've been in the market for a second vehicle ever since he sold his Honda Passport. He found this truck on the side of the road for $1,000. Mind you, it didnt start and we had to tow it to the local mechanic, but it was only $1,000 nonetheless. After the change of the alternator ($175) and a new paint job from MACO, from his wonderful wife for his birthday, this is the end product. Not too shabby for a $1500 truck. Mechanic says as long as we keep oil in it, it should run forever! Well, I dont know about forever, but it should last us a while. Praise the Lord!

14 week Dr's Visit
Well, I just got back from my check up. Everything is "perfect". She said that the baby's heartbeat is in the 150's-160's, which is good but doesn't help me figure out if it's a girl or a boy. At this time Noah's was about 152, so we will see. We scheduled the ultrasound and my next appointment for Wed, Nov 29. Hope the little person is cooperative! Haven't gained any weight yet, but the doc didnt seem too worried. She said just eat when you feel like it, which was nice to hear. Anyway, just thought I would update everybody on the progression. Must find a picture to make this post more exciting :-)
I know it has nothing to do with anything, but it is a funny picture and does make the post more interesting!

ROAR!!!!!!!
Well, due to a volleyball game in Greensboro, we didnt go trick or treating this year. BUT, Noah did wear his lion costume to Golden Corral with the team, walking around the mall with mommy, and to the game where the officials were even dressed up. I literally had to sit on him to draw the whiskers and nose, but it was well worth it! He looked so cute! I especially loved it when he fell asleep in his carseat on the way to the game. Wish I would've taken a picture. He loved all the extra attention and candy that people gave! Did you know people trick or treat at the mall? Yeah, NO IDEA! Anyway, we got home around 11:30 and put the lion in his den for the night. It was a crazy day and I cant believe I only got 6 pictures, but oh well.

Along for the ride....
Noah did a great job this weekend. It's so hard to just "watch" the games from your stroller, but he does a good job. He fell asleep in his stroller during all three matches and when he wasnt sleeping, he brushed his teeth, played peek-a-boo with the parents, or enjoyed his goldfish. His favorite part of the game is when they introduce the players. He LOVES to clap for his team. It's priceless.
