Noah's Room (Again)

Well, as you can see, we are still working on Noah's room....Almost done. We just have to put up the wallpaper surfboards we got this past weekend.......Josh refinished the dresser in the pics....I love it! He's pretty handy!!!!

We went to The Cheesecake Factory this past weekend and had a delightful dinner on the University of Florida. Thanks Gators! Anyway, Josh loves their cheesecake (at only 6 carbs per serving) and we both enjoyed chicken salads... They were huge! The pictures don't do it justice. We should have just shared one, but hindsight 20/20 you know :-)



We went to church today at Community Baptist in Garner, NC. We really enjoyed the service and fellowship afterwards. The only problem is the church is 30 minutes away. After church we went to MOES and then a quick trip to Walmart to pick up some food for Noah. Well, Noah just couldnt wait, yep....all over his clothes....it was a mess. So, that is why the child is naked, but don't worry, we went straight home. He didnt mind though. He loves naked time!!!

We went to the WILDS last week. The pictures are of the Meal kids.....they are a hoot! Noah just jumped right in with them and played. It was funny to see him interact with "big kids". I think I need to join a play group or something...or just have more kids :-)

We had a wonderful time with friends while we were in Brevard. We stayed with our friends Dave and Karen, and just enjoyed visiting and catching up with everyone up there. They are getting ready to start their summer.....so, it's going to be busy days soon! We were glad we got there when we did.

Noah's Room

We have been working on Noah's room. Especially his surf board. When Josh first cut it, we both thought it was HUGE! Luckily, we tested it in his room and it was perfect! So, we thought we would share!

Walmart

What do you do at 9:00 at night in Walmart while waiting for your paint to get mixed??! That's right....Anything to amuse yourself. Noah learned "Uh OH"...Well, half of Uh Oh...it sort of comes out as Uh... it's pretty funny. Go Ahead..

Welcome to MOES!

Those are the 3 little words that I have been waiting 6 days to hear! They just opened a MOES about 5-10 minutes from us and we are SOOO excited! This diet and exercise program that we are on allows one cheat day. Well, ladies and gentlemen, that day was today! AND we indulged in MOES for lunch after church and pizza for dinner. Yeah, what's the big deal, you may say .....pizza and tacos......but you have NO idea what kind of program we are on. IT IS SOO hard! Anyway, the place just opened and it was CRAZY in the restaurant. There wasnt a seat in the house and they even ran out of chocolate chip cookies....I mean come on! Is there ANYONE out there who would pick oatmeal raisin over chocolate chip. They really should have made more......oh well...I'm not bitter. *Sigh* okay, moving on. We are currently church shopping and it is not fun. We've been to 2 churches and arent very impressed.....Hopefully the next couple we go to we will see something we like. We arent picky... just well.....okay, maybe we are a little picky! The good thing is, Noah loves everywhere we go and the people love him, so that is nice. Okay, post is over have a good night.

Peek-a-Boo!

Noah is now 10 months old and loves to play peek-a-boo and has a huge obsession with doors.
We are slowly but surely getting through the boxes and I am very happy to report that we only have one room left to finish! We worked all day on Noah's room yesterday and I must say, it looks adorable! I will try to take some pics. It is missing one important thing and that is the homemade surfboard that will go behind his crib.

Other than that not much else is going on. This week is the last "regular" week of Josh's schedule at school. All the students are leaving this weekend. So, his hours will be flexible until about July, which will be nice to have him around more. Oh! Josh and I are on a 6 week diet and exercise program. I must say. IT IS SOOOO HARD! We have been really good and havent cheated one time! Our workout each night is the Biggest Loser DVD workout and is SOOO hard! At first I was doing it by myself and Josh would just make fun of the fact that I was dying after I did it, but now he is on board and he is the one who is sore. Well, speak of the devil, he just walked in the door, so I best go and love on him. Happy blogging and have a wondeful weekend!

Bowling!

Last weekend we were able to go bowling with the team. It was so much fun and Noah's first bowling alley experience. He just sat in the stroller and watched everybody. He was entertained by the screaming and dancing.....as I am sure any 10 month old would be. After bowling we went to Italian Pie for pizza. So good! It was a nice send off for the team before summer hits. I would have taken more pictures but my batteries died....Oh and I didnt forget about the pictures of the new place :-) If you have ever moved before, you know how long it takes before you feel "all moved in". Spring is in the Air!

Well, we just got back from a week of being in Michigan. The weather was surprisingly beautiful! Today in Greensboro it is 80 degrees. VERY NICE! We will definately be going outside to play!

Okay, here's the whole housing situation. We are moving out on Saturday. We found a reasonable duplex that we will be living in for a while until a house opens up. We are very excited! Living in transition is for the birds! It will be nice to start our lives again!

Noah has learned many new tricks in the past couple of weeks. When he wants something to eat he yells...NUM NUM NUM..It's really funny. Oh, and you will be able to see his top two teeth are coming in. One is faster than the other and he looks a little hilbillyish,but hopefully the other one will catch up! He also says BA BA when he wants his bottle. Oh, I almost forgot, he can blow kisses. He is as busy as ever and is taking a couple steps but nothing too serious. Walking is right around the corner......

Can you see my new teeth? Noah is 9 months old and he can stand "all by himself". He had his shots today and didnt make a peep. As a matter of fact, the nurse was making faces at him and he was laughing at her, then she poked him. He sort of got a worried look on his face, but that was it. GOOD BOY! He can say, Da Da, Mom ma, Ga ga, Ba ba, and Gator Bait (by hitting his hands up and down). These 2 teeth just popped through in the last couple of days. We are so proud :-). Not much else is going on. We are going to Michigan next Wed. for the Easter season and will be staying a week, then we will be moving out of Josh's parent's house. We are moving into a Duplex in Angier, NC (about 10 minutes from campus). My plan is to get in there and paint this week (fingers crossed). I can tell I am just rambling now, so I better go. If you have read this far, I am surprised!

We went to work with Daddy yesterday and while cruising through the campus store we came across these wigs....It was hard not to buy one for Noah.

It's Official!

Sorry, I meant to post this earlier but time got away from me! Here is my husband's official web article. He is still driving the hour and a half to work everyday. The house inspection came back not so good, so we may not be moving into it. House hunting continues.....(sigh)
