BUGS!

This was a rare species of praying mantis....It was called, babytis from the family of the Noih! These were deadly frogs. They look so cute!
Ever see Fear Factor? These are the Madagascar Beetles that they eat.... They were stinking huge! Disgusting!

 

Greensboro Science Museum!

We spent some time at the local Science Museum on Friday. It was fun! Here are some of the animals we encountered.....YIKES! 

D.E.A.R. Time

For those of you who are teachers, you know that DEAR time means. DROP EVERYTHING AND READ! When I taught 6th grade we would have DEAR time at least once a day! Noah loves books! He sat here for almost 20 minutes just flipping the pages and looking at the pictures. It was cute, so I took advantage :-)

A Visit With Nana and Grandaddy!

Josh, Noah, and I drove up to Rocky Mount, NC on Sunday to visit his parents. They were presenting thier ministry and his dad preached both the morning and evening service at Falls Road Baptist Church. It was a rough day for Noah (as all Sundays are hard on babies) because he wasn't in his "own" bed for his afternoon nap. He ran and ran and ran all over that church!!! Today he is exhausted and has taken 2 naps! It's only 2:45!!! Noah and I are going up to Greensboro on Thursday to spend some time with aunt Kara. Not sure if I said anything, but I got a nanny job here in town, and also a part time photography position with a real estate company. With those jobs and teaching piano lessons 2 nights a week, we should be busy! Oh yeah, volleyball season started today! So, we wont see daddy for at least 2 weeks with two-a-day practices and planning. We will also be in DC 2 weekends in a row....so if you have nothing to do, come out and see the camels!!!! And us of course :-)

Random Pictures

Since I have gotten the new camera, I have been snapping pictures left and right. Josh is getting sick of it, but I will always have the little one who sees the camera and cheezes! For all you camera geeks out there, I ended up getting the Canon Rebel XT. I just got a 75-300 mm lens off of Ebay that should be here by the end of the week. I am very excited about that! Anyway, totally recomend the Rebel XT. It has 8mp, but it is really easy to work with and figure out. Stay tuned for more pictures.....they will get better, I promise! 

Bike Rides!

It has been SO HOT here. (As I am sure it has been in most of the country) But Sunday we were able to get out on the bikes and go for a LONG bike ride. We pretty much covered the whole town of Angier. It was fun!! Can't wait til it cools off and we can go all the time! Despite the heat, Josh has been riding his bike to work each day. It's a firm 10 miles and takes him about a half hour. I went and picked him up today though because the heat index was 109 and I was worried about him!
