Harvest Party!

Elizabeth Wickert and Jacob.

Our little lion and his daddy!

Noah wanted to pose by this dog at our church Harvest Party.

The LOOT!

Whew! Well, it's 10:19 and I am EXHAUSTED! We had a very very nice Halloween! The weather here was PERFECT for trick or treating and being outside. Not once did I worry about whether Noah or Jacob were too cold. I took the boys up town for trick or treating from about 3:30-4:30. It was nice because we could just walk around downtown in the stores and get our candy. I wanted Noah to get the "feel" of what was going on before we hit any subdivisions. He did great. He would say "Treat" then leave with a "Ank Ewe" and on to the next store. We left downtown and headed over to Noah's friend Dylan's house. We had dinner and then went around her neighborhood to trick or treat. Noah loved running around the street with the older kids. He was having the best time! We left trick or treating and headed to church where they were having their annual Harvest Party. There was a hay ride, blow up toys, games, food, and lots of candy! By 8:30 both our boys had had it and were ready to go home. They were in the car for about 5 minutes and both of them were OUT! It was a good day!

Super Halloween!

He did NOT want his black boots on....

Getting ready to go!

Trick or treating with his best friend, Dylan!

Noah would run up to the door, ring the door bell 5 times and then when the door would open, he would run inside. Seriously, he did this at almost every house we went to!

Super Pumpkin Carving!

We were able to carve the boy's pumpkins last night. Jacob's is a J and Noah's is a N. Noah is going to be superman for Halloween, so the super N definately goes with his costume. Noah really seemed to like the carving part, but did NOT want to touch all that nasty goo inside of his pumpkin. He doesn't like to get dirt or anything for that matter on his hands. It's nice and weird all at the same time. Come on Noah, you are a boy! Oh well, less mess for me. We are going trick or treating tonight with some friends and then headed over to church for the Harvest Party! Can't wait to see all the little kids in their costumes! Hope your Halloween is Happy!

We've Been Busy!

Can you see my teeth?

Chubby Cheeks!

Family Shot!

We've been pretty busy the past week. On Friday night we had the team over for a spaghetti dinner. We ate, played the Wii and Cranium. It was so much fun! Then the girls had a game on Saturday afternoon, which they WON in 5. Yeah, it was a nail biter! On Sunday night after church, we went over to the Lassider's farm with the teens for hotdogs, smores, a hayride, and played some cornhole. It was a little chilly, but we all had a great time! This week is busy with trick or treating, Harvest party at church, and then my mother is coming to visit on Saturday. Yeah!

Roar?

Well, I put Jacob in his costume tonight and it's a good thing I did. His costume is sized 3-6 months from Children's Place so I thought it might be a little big, but thankfully it just fits! Thought you would enjoy the pictures!

Jacob and the bathtub

Ever since Jacob was born, he has HATED his baths! Screamed his little head off every single time anything wet would touch him. I have learned how to wash him within less than a minute beacuse he was so upset. I thought it very strange and hoped that he would eventually grow out of it. Well, the time has finally come. The other day I had gotten his bath ready, had all the "stuff" in the appropriate place to grab quickly, and when I put Jacob in his ducky, he looked up at me and smiled... YEAH!!!! He is almost able to sit up entirely by himself. He still falls over sometimes when I leave him to play with his toys, but he's getting stronger every day. He can also scoot across the room to get a toy or any other object he wants to get a hold of. Oh, and (drum roll please) His first little tooth popped through this past week. There is another one coming in right next to it, and boy has he been miserable. It's amazing to me that he is going to be 6 months old. It seems like it is going by way too fast! Time didn't go by this fast with Noah! Speaking of the 2 year old, he is a ball of energy! He is starting to speak in little sentences. His favorite is, "bye bye Dada!", "bye bye Poo Poo" (this is when he flushes, no he's not potty trained, but we are working on it), " Thank you, Momma!", "Please Momma?" and "No, Mine!" (this is one I dislike the most, sadly I think he learned it in the nursery). There is more, but these are what we hear most. He LOVES to show off in front of his girl friends (the volleyball girls). Last weekend we went to Tennessee for a match, Jacob was sleeping in his stroller, and Noah gave me a kiss on the cheek and said, "Nigh Nigh, momma", then he took his sweatshirt, balled it up like a pillow, and laid down on the bleachers and fell asleep. He slept the rest of the match. I actually got to watch a game without holding, chasing, or feeding anybody!

Well, didn't mean to ramble. Enjoy the video!

Kara, this is for you...

Happy Birthday To Me!

Yesterday was my birthday. It was a great day! My brother Adam called and asked if I wanted to go to lunch with him. He lives about 3 1/2 hours away, so we loaded up and met him at the Virginia/North Caroline Line. His girlfriend Desiree came with him, which was nice because I had never met her before. This was the first time Jacob saw his Uncle Adam, so they were aquainted quickly. Noah loved playing with his Uncle. We ate lunch, then had some ice cream at Dairy Queen, and said our goodbyes. Josh had gotten a couple of the volleyball players to come over after practice, so that we could go out. We went to the outlet malls in Smithfield and had Outback for dinner. It was so nice!

The bottom picture of Noah is from this past weekend in the bus. We drove to Macon, GA to play Mercer University, and then up to Kennesaw to play Kennesaw State. The boys did very well on the bus and Noah loved reading his new books that grandma sent. He's really into his books lately. Loves to sit on your lap and tell you all the colors!

Another weekend of traveling. We leave Friday for East Tennessee!

The Jumperoo

In Mid jump..

His Jordan impression...

Jacob absolutely loves his jumperoo. The past few days I have caught him sleeping in it. I caught him today jumping, sleeping, jumping, sleeping....it was too funny. (Pardon the Diego in the background)

My Boys..

Jacob, "hanging" out with Grandaddy at Kara's Rehearsal.

Noah was trying to introduce himself to the birds.....they didn't cooperate to well...

Where's your nose?

Classic Jacob

My boys are such great sports! They have seriously spent half of the last month in their carseats traveling. Thankfully we had a weekend off this week, but Mommy still loaded up the boys to do some serious garage saling today. We really haven't been doing anything too exciting lately. Daddy's birthday was last Sunday and we all got him stuff for his Jeep. Working on that is what he wanted to do most, so we let him while we all took naps. After church we went to our friend's house for cake. Okay, it was actually a big cookie, but who really cares. Josh gave me my birthday present early and it was a Wii. It is so fun to play! Tiring, but fun all the same! We are leaving next Thursday for Georgia to play Kennesaw State and Mercer University. Our team has started conference play and is now 1-4. Not doing all that great, but we have high hopes for the rest of the season! So, there you have it, not much going on, just a post to say how much I love my boys!!

Kara's Wedding

This past weekend we were able to travel down to Charleston for Kara's Wedding. It was a beautiful day with perfect weather! Kara and Marty were married at a gazebo in downtown Charleston with immediate family members there. It was a very small but very intimate and beautiful wedding. Kara gave me the opportunity to take her photos. We got some good shots. Of course, she is still on her honeymoon, so the rest will have to wait until she sees them =)
