Easter Egg Hunt!

Had to pick up 2 at a time!

Yeah, I don't think so......

I had so much fun today mommy!!!!

Today was GORGEOUS! We went to a friend's house out in the country to join our other friends in lunch, a visit with the Easter Bunny, and an egg hunt. Noah fell asleep on the way there and for about the first hour, he slept on the blanket in the yard. It was perfect. He woke up when all the excitement began. The easter bunny was there and Noah was NOT excited to see him. He was however very excited to find all the eggs he had hid in the yard. We didn't think that Noah would understand the concept of finding the eggs, putting them in his basket, and finding more, But he did! He LOVED it! We all got way too much sun but had a wonderful time! The party was at an old farm house. There were peacocks walking around the farm and the owners had 4 mastiffs. They were really big dogs, but they loved kids! We really had a good time and are very thankful to be outside enjoying the wonderful weather! We got home around 5 and while I was changing, I saw something on my belly. Luckily I was in front of a mirror, because my belly is so big these days, I wouldn't have seen it. It was a TICK! Yeah, I am usually ok with bugs but this totally freaked me out! Don't worry, it hadn't attached or anything (YET!) and Josh came to my rescue. He pulled it off and burned it! Yeah, I am still a little creeped out by it and totally stripped Noah down right after it happened. He was clean, and so was Josh. Thankfully!

Laughing...

I have been going through old videos on the computer lately, and Noah just LOVES this video. It was the one entitled "Basketball with Mommy". Appartently mommy missing the basket is hilarious! It was funny then and even more funny now. *sigh*

Mommy's Little Helper....

He just LOVES to help my do laundry. Only problem is, he puts the dirty clothes in the dryer and then gets mad at me when I take them out and put them in the washing machine. *Sigh* Life sure is hard for a 21 month old. We had a little "accident" today. Noah grabbed his mommy's hair straightener and burned the top 2 of his fingers. It hurt him so bad I thought I was going to have to make a trip to the emergency room. He's a pretty tought kid and after not being able to calm him down after an hour, I was a little concerned. Luckily, a 1/2 hour of Diego and a cool bowl of water did the trick. I wish I could have gotten a picture of him watching his show with his hands in the water. He never took them out. So precious. Anyway, our burned victim is fine, just a couple of blisters but he's okay. Mommy is too, after many tears, and phone calls to loved ones who consoled me! Thanks!!!

A bit of Nesting....

Noah's Corner

Noah's Dresser

Jacob's Corner

Jacob's Dresser

Well, I know I have a little over 5 weeks left, but the nesting has begun! We aren't completely done with the boy's room yet, but at least there is a bed and a dresser for both of them. Pretty much all we have left is hanging up shelves and pictures. Shelves would have been up, but due to parts missing and Josh leaving for Denver Thurs morning, it just didnt happen. Oh well. Yes, we have decided on a name. No going back now, the sign is already made! My favorite part of the room is the dressers. Josh did such a good job painting them! You would have never known that I picked one up off the side of the road!!! I'm telling ya! It's amazing what people throw out! We are going to Greensboro for the weekend after play group of course. It's raining here, so looks like a gloomy day. I would love to stay in my jammies all day and watch Disney movies with Noah, but not today, errands to run, people to see......

Beautiful Weather!!

I cannot believe the beautiful weather outside! I even laid out yesterday during Noah's nap! WOW!! Noah just LOVES to be outside. It's super hard to get him to come back in, but thanks to the weather, we've been able to spend hours out on the deck and taking walks! Quick disclaimer for the big slide in the picture. Noah and I went on a bike ride the other day and while I was riding I came across a huge pile of garbage. Normally I would just keep riding, but amongst the rubish I saw bright red plastic. So, I began removing the rubble and found this slide. It is in PERFECT condition. Plastic wasn't broken, wasn't too dirty...you get the idea. Anyway, I took Noah out of the bike trailer, and loaded the slide up. What a sight to see: 8 month pregnant lady pulling a bike with a trailer with a huge slide on, while trying to hold her 1 yearold's hand so he wouldn't wander away. Wasn't a small task, but we got it home. After I hosed and wiped it down, Noah couldn't get enough of it, and still can't. What a blessing! It really is true. Somebody's trash is another's treasure!!!!

We're Back!

Aunt Dianne getting some Noah love!
The Dumping!
Grandpa and Noah checking out the waves!
The Before picture! (I wish I got an after picture with them soaking wet)
My cousin Amanda is Due March 23rd, and I am due April 23rd! How fun!

Okay, if I counted how many times that has been the title of my posts since I have started this blog it would probably appear 100 times! It seems like we are always gone! It's ok though, we love it! We went to Ft. Meyers this past week to spend some time with my grandparents, the snow birds. While we were there we got to see my aunt Dianne and family, Carl (my dad's good friend), Uncle Dick, Auntie Jo, Cousin Margaret and Amanda, and spend ooddles of time at the beach! We had a good time and believe it or not, my boy did NOT get sunburned! The poor kid has white skin like his mommy and the sun doesn't like us too much. He didn't like getting sand on his hands but loved to fill the pail full and then dump it over his head! Go figure! The funniest thing to watch was when he would try to stand up while sitting in the sand. He wouldn't put his hands down because they would get dirty, so he would lean one way and get his leg under his little body and then stand. Okay, it's hard to explain, but just picture somebody trying to get up off the ground without using their hands..... He liked the waves once he got used to them and believe it or not he and grandma even went for a swim! (well, it wasn't a planned swim, a wave came and knocked them both over, it was quite funny!)

APRIL 23rd!!!!! That is the date we scheduled the C-section at Wake Med!! Mark your calendars and I WILL be expecting lots of gifts and flowers! Ha ha! just kidding. We picked that day partly because the doctor I like was available and it is exactly 2 months before Noah's birthday. Easy to remember! Enjoy the pictures! Love you all!!!!!
