At least HE got some sleep!

Well, what more can I say? Since he doesnt have his crib set up yet, he is forced to sleep in his Pac N Play. Only problem is, he hates it! Even though we are firm believers of NO BABIES IN BED, we have lowered our standards and allowed the boy in the bed. He sleeps better but is a horrible sleeper! He Kicks, He climbs, He pulls hair, He rolls, He is a complete terror and has no sympathy for his sleep deprived parents. Hopefully we can get his bed set up soon. Man I am tired!

Home Sweet Home

No, this is not our house but Yes, we are living here. We had our apartment in Buies Creek fall through, so instead we are living with Josh's parents until we find a house. Josh will commute the hour and a half to work each day. We will be looking for houses on the weekends so hopefully something will come up.

The trip here was pretty uneventful. Took 11 hours in all which isnt bad considering you are driving a 20 ft. truck and a 8 month old. Noah did so well. Not a peep. Now myself on the other hand had eaten a bad taco salad for lunch and we had to make a stop. Unfortunately we were in the middle of no where. Josh pulled off on the next available exit and I got out and made a bee-line for the woods. I didnt have a choice, and that taco salad wouldn't stay put so I had to act fast. Ah, ya got to love nature! Good news, I'm okay now. But won't be going to any Hardees any time soon! We got a storage facility here to put all our stuff in and Josh and I just got back from returning the truck. We've been relaxing the past couple of days and yes, I have found the mall.....all 3 floors of it (hmm, whatever will Noah and I do during the day? :-)

Josh starts on Monday and is excited. His first trip is in 2 weeks and is actually a tournament in Indy where he will be recruiting at the mid-east regionals. Of course I couldnt let him go to Indy without me, so Noah and I are going too. Josh is staying for the weekend and Noah and I will be staying a whole week. (Yeah! We are SOO excited!)

More later. Dinner Time! Love you!

Team Goodbye!

Well, today we had to say goodbye to the team. They had a meeting today so it was a good time to "stop in" and tell them about the job. They passed Noah around and got their final hugs and kisses. Poor guy hadnt seen them for a couple months and well, he got scared. He started screaming b/c he didnt know quite where he was. He loves you girls, he really really does! We do to. Good luck this season and one final.....GO GATORS!!!!!

We are officially Camels!

Well, we got the call today and was officially offerred to be the new assistant volleyball coach at Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC. As you can imagine, we are very excited about the opportunity. We will be packing up and moving next Wednesday ending our adventure here at the University of Florida. It's been a wild and amazing adventure and everyone here has welcomed us with open arms. We thank you for that and the love you showed us and our little Noah. He has probably 100 girlfriends that he will be leaving behind but welcomes new applicants to the vacant positions....of course I am kidding.

A quick update on the boy. He is 7 1/2 months old today and was standing "all by himself" for 10 seconds! He's almost there. Hang on, it's about to be a long and bumpy ride!!!

Thank you for the prayers. We feel them! You'll here from me soon....I promise!!
love you all!

Poor Baby!

Well, Noah has had a couple of rough nights so yesterday we dropped Josh off at work and went to Urgent Care. We walk in a Noah is instant smiles. He is flirting with all the nurses and receptionist.....I kept saying, he really is sick...no reall he is...... We didn't have to wait, they just took us right back and it turns out that Noah has an ear infection. He has a runny nose and a little cough so the doc put him on medicine to help with that, and antibiotics for the ear. The doc told me that the medicine may make him hyper, and if he doesnt sleep, to take him off of it. Well, we got home and took the meds, and Noah was a little ball of energy! He was happy, excited, frustrated, mad and all over the place! So, I decided instead of chasing him around our tiny apartment, we needed to get out of the house and that we were going to Best Buy! (most of you know this, but that is my FAVORITE store) We walked down every aisle! It was awesome! I found my new camera that I am going to get.......some day......maybe in a couple weeks, months, years (who knows....that's probably how long it will take for me to save) It's beautiful but anyway, we did that while Noah was all bundled up in his stroller, and then Daddy called, so we went to pick him up, then came home. He finally fell asleep and stayed there most of the afternoon. He's doing better today. Still a ball of energy but in a better mood which is nice. No church today because he still has a little fever so we are at home.....

Here is a funny video of him feeling better than he does now.....

Noah's New Tricks!

It's been a while since I posted a video, so I thought I would put one on that shows Noah doing a couple of his tricks. (CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO) He is now 7 months old and can do SO much! He can clap when you say "Yeah", he can say "Ba-Ba", "Ga-Ga","Ma-Ma" and he can hit his mouth and sound like an Indian. We are starting to teach him how to sign for food, drink, please, and thank-you. Hopefully it will catch on soon. He eats all the food groups, but particulary enjoys his fruit. (Of course!) My dad is in Florida so hopefully we'll get a chance to go down and see grandpa. He is staying with my aunt in Ft Meyers which is about 4 hours away. We both have to work this week so we shall see if we get down there. Still waiting to hear about a job. Good news soon we hope! Thanks again for all the prayers! We are excited to see what may happen.......

February Already??

Sheesh! I cannot believe it is Feb!!! Although I might add, I did wear my red hoodie today for the blessed occasion.....

Let's see, what shall I say. Oh I think I will write about what we did in MI. Noah and I just got back on Sunday from Holly, MI. It was fun! We saw lots of family, friends, and of course shopping! I think I went to the mall almost every day! Fun! Noah brought back a cold with him so he's been dealing with that. He's still the happy-go-lucky kid he always is, but with a runny nose.....who knows, maybe he is teething. No fever, just a yucky nose.....

Noah has started to talk a little. I got it on video with him crawling so I will put that on when I get home. I have been babysitting this week for Riley again. I missed that little girl. It's been fun. She isnt so sure about Noah. She likes him when he is in the exersaucer, but as soon as he lets loose, he makes a bee-line for her. Maybe she is scared. He is pretty intimidating. Riley reminds me of a kitten, precious, fragile, beautiful and very smart......my boy reminds me of a puppy. Easily distracted, cute, smart, but has to learn the hard way......you know, "....maybe if I climb up T.V. stand THIS time, I won't hit my head from falling....." He'll learn. His new love is Cheerios! He mauls them! No teeth yet but hopefully soon.

Got a call a couple days ago..........Yep! We are going to interview at Campbell University this weekend. We are leaving tomorrow (Thursday) and will be coming back next Tuesday. The nice thing is, Josh's parents live a little over an hour away, so we will get to spend some time with them. And they will get to see Noah. I will keep you posted on how things go!!! Thanks for the prayers!!!!

This is a picture of Gavin Dobbertin and Noah. Gavin's mommy Suzanne and I use to play t-ball together when we were 'wee' ones. I am so thankful for technology. We got back into contact only through the internet. How cool!!! Anyway, they have a lot in common just like his mommy and I. Hopefully they'll be buds just like us!

Family in Bradenton

This is a picture of some of our family members who live in FL. A couple of weeks ago, Josh had a tourney in Orlando so Noah and I hopped in the van and took off for Bradenton. Wasn't a bad drive, about 2 hours, maybe a little more, and Noah slept the whole way. We got to visit with my grandparents from Traverse City, MI who are staying in FL til April. We had a great time playing games and eating with family! I am sure we will make it down there again soon before we leave...
We have entered the no-no stage with Noah. Forget about those toys, he wants to pull up on
EVERYTHING!!!!!!

It seems like everything he does, we have to tell him no-no......The problem with naming your son "NOAH" is, it starts with the word NO. So instead of saying NO, we are starting to say Noah, STOP! It's hard but we are trying. I guess with a lot of kids, they mistake their name for NO because that's all they hear for about the first year of their life. Hmmm.......
